Job Summary:

A Warehouse Technician is responsible for managing inventory, organizing, and maintaining the overall operations of a warehouse. Their role involves a combination of manual labor, administrative tasks, and ensuring that goods are received, stored, and shipped efficiently.

 

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Receive, store, and organize inventory.
  • Track and update inventory records accurately in the system.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and physical counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Pick and pack orders for shipping.
  • Ensure items are correctly labeled, packaged, and prepared for shipment.
  • Ensure the warehouse and common area are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Optimize storage space for efficient operations and easy access to items.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Adhere to safety standards and guidelines within the warehouse.
  • Ensure the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials when necessary.
  • Report any safety issues or hazards to supervisors immediately.
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on warehouse equipment.
  • Ensure all tools and machinery are in good working condition.
  • Update inventory management systems with new stock, returns, and inventory adjustments.
  • Assist with company events such as setting up and tearing down.
  • Verify reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to internal departments or external clients when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in a warehouse environment or similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., fishbowl, Oracle).
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience.
  • Require standing, walking, bending, and climbing may be required throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
