Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Control Panel Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The Control Panel Designer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical control panels used in industrial and commercial applications. This role involves translating project requirements into detailed panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and component selections, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, proficiency in CAD software, and experience with PLC and HMI programming.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical control panels based on engineering specifications and project requirements.
  • Create detailed panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
  • Select appropriate electrical components, including PLC’s, HMIs, relays, switches, and sensors, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
  • Program PLCs and HMIs to control and monitor industrial processes, incorporating ladder logic and graphical interfaces.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure effective communication and timely project delivery.
  • Provide technical support during panel assembly, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Document control panel designs, revisions, and updates accurately and comprehensively.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in control panel design and automation.
